Location & Flexibility
Our Content Designer will be an integral part of our team at WillowTree. To help retain our deep culture of collaboration both among ourselves and our clients, this role will maintain an in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days weekly.

The Opportunity
As a Content Designer, you’ll collaborate with teams of all disciplines to help deliver digital experiences our clients love. As a resident expert on using language to design digital products, you’ll ensure that every product we build—whether it’s a mobile app, chatbot, or enterprise website—provides people with relevant information they can use. 

Responsibilities
  • Work in a highly collaborative cross-disciplinary environment with Product Designers, Researchers, Engineers, Strategists, and your fellow Content Designers to create, test, and iterate on solutions for digital user experiences
  • Plan information architecture and content hierarchy for digital products 
  • Run workshops to help clients nail down their brand’s voice and tone
  • Map out workflows to publish digital content
  • Design conversation flows for chatbots
  • Collaborate with a Product Designer to create wireframes and branded microcopy for digital products (websites, apps, chatbots, etc.)
  • Partner with Product Researchers to include content in usability testing and help facilitate user interviews
  • Whiteboard content models with cross-functional product teams

Qualifications
  • A great command of language, with experience in technical communication, creative writing, UX writing, or content design
  • Experience presenting to clients and executives
  • Eagerness to learn about new technologies
  • An eye for detail
  • The ability to think “big picture” as you break a large, complex problem into manageable chunks
  • A focus on improving user experience
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team (Product Strategy, Research, Design, and Engineering)

Bonus Points
  • An understanding of how content design can impact a project throughout the UX cycle from discovery to implementation
  • You're familiar with Mobile or Voice technologies
  • Experience with conversation design as implemented through voice-powered devices and support channels like chatbots
  • Experience with content modeling for a headless content management system (CMS)

Compensation: $90,000-$102,000
